The Porsche 919 Hybrid is considered the most successful model in endurance series racing over the last decade. Since its release in 2014, they have consistently been able to leave the competition behind, including winning the legendary 24h Le Mans race in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
In the 2014 edition, the Porsche System Engineering Team entered the race with drivers Timo Bernhard, Mark Webber and Brendon Hartley under car number 20. However, in its first participation, the 919 Hybrid had to end the race early after 346 completed laps and did not finish.
